Monster

She is full of love
And love me, she did
With every speck of her.

I loved her back
With all that I had
And then I ran out.

All these years,
Since I first went empty,
She loved me as much.

I tried to wipe some left overs
But the steel walls in my heart
Are icy cold without a droplet left.

And all this while she loved me
Unconditionally with every bit of her.
I thrived on her love and bounced back.
My losses and fears, it sailed me through.

This love though, consumed her.
It took everything from her.
She gave it everything.

I consumed her, feasted on her love.
I drained her out and I am still empty.

I am a monster.
