\nI have started loving this house after all.
\nIt’s the layout and the large living room perhaps.
\nOr is it the winter sun in that little balcony
\nwhich is otherwise my least favourite of all.<\/p>\n
When it rains, I come home early to avoid traffic
\nOr perhaps I want to live a bit while it rains.
\nI sit by the window and sip my tea
\nAnd watch the rain wash our balconies clean.<\/p>\n
On party nights and hungover Saturdays
\nWe have fit a lot of people in here
\nAnd let them have their space too.
\nJust as we do in our hearts, is this our heart?<\/p>\n
I like how we gradually brought some furniture in
\nAnd how it’s all so light, we move it around a lot
\nLike memories adjusting themselves
\nTo continuously rework the space in our hearts<\/p>\n
I have started loving this house after all.
\nThe sunlight and the wind, but not so much the walls.
\nWhat good are the walls if they shed dust?
