\nOnce again, I sing
\nThe songs that are the glory of past
\nAnd the melody of present.
\nOnce again I read
\nThese “mere” scripts–
\nThe experiences of yesterday
\nWhich are the stories of today.<\/p>\n
They speak vividly
\nAnd air respledently
\nThe glory of victory
\nAnd the shame of defeat
\nOf mankind, in its quest
\nOf reason for all
\nThat makes this mighties’
\nUniverse the way ’tis.<\/p>\n
Yesterday, I was unaware
\nOf such pride of achievement;
\nOf such determined defiance
\nTo failure;
\nSuch perpetual hunger for
\nKnowledge that those before me
\nPushed on to its limits.<\/p>\n
Today, I speak of it as if
\nIt were my own strif’.
\nNot only my race’ past
\nBut also my present, my future.<\/p>\n
If you asked me then,
\nI would have said–
\n“What insanity I know not
\nWas behind their vexing desire
\nTo dig out what was never there”
\nNow however,
\nI can see the sanctity
\nOf minds that aren’t yet begone,<\/p>\n
Only lost for a while
\nIn the hysteria their progress created.
\nLost in the hysteria thy are–
\n—I sometimes think–
\nWillingly to emerge victorious
\nAnd bring out the principles
\nThat underly another element of nature.<\/p>\n
Today, I am on a similar mission–
\nPart of an intellectual plan, non-classical
\nTo unfold the scripts of nature
\nAnd in process, write our own
\nThat would speak vividly
\nAnd air resplendently
\nThe glory of victory
\nAnd the shame of defeat
\nOf ours, in the quest
\nOf reason for all that makes this mighties’
\nUniverse the way ’tis.<\/p>\n
Today, I am part
\nOf another quest
\nOf the tools
\nThat shall enable
\nThe Gods among us,
\nTo shape the universe so as
\n‘ Not only sustains
\nMankind as it does in the present
\nBut also nurture it
\nTo the peak of existence
\nAnd unflur its flag
\nRepresenting the ultima’ victory
\nOn the mast
\nOf courage, determination and defiance.
\nUpon the soil of secrets of nature.<\/p>\n
This music of victory
\nWould not announce the silence of end.
\nIt would infact be
\nThe declaration of
\nA new mission,
\nA mission which again
\nWould fascinate the generations-to-come
\nWho would take pride
\nJust as we do now
\nAnd then sing the song
\nOf the glory of victory
\nAnd the shame of defeat
\nOf theirs, in the quest
\nOf reason for all that makes this mighties’
