Two Dates

Not that I fell
In live in two dates.

But your eyes and your stories
Do make the butterflies flutter

Not that I like
That you aren’t in the city

But your inability to be at one spot
Did take my heart away

Alright, you had me at hello.
Big deal, I left a sweet mark too.

The brevity of us
Was the beauty of it

If we happened, we might
as well be history

Not that i cant run
As fast as you.

But if I do, i cant
Not race like you.

So I leave us here.

I choose memories of two happy dates
And the regrets that come along.
I choose a hole over an abyss in both our hearts

A dark stone and a clay ball.
I will remember your eyes and how they looked at mine
Your eyes the length of happiness
And the width of excitement
